Former Deputy National Security Advisor K.T. McFarland and Tennessee Senator Bill Hagerty sit down together for a conversation on national security. Energy policy under President Biden has hurt Americans domestically and have benefitted Vladimir Putin, filling his coffers with money from Western countries for energy. President Trump pressured Russia. He took away Putin’s major source of income in the Nord Stream pipeline. Ukraine is now putting pressure on Russia and proving a formidable military foe, but they need American assistance, and in order to help others, America needs to negotiate from a position of strength rather than weakness. A strong America is necessary to keep China in its place as well, and a strong America starts with funding our military and bolstering our economy. Right now, the key to start strengthening America again is an active energy policy that reopens Keystone pipeline and green lights domestic oil and natural gas production.
