Texas Senator Ted Cruz delivers a speech at CPAC Florida 2022 on the polarization of American society wrought by the Left. He advances that the Democrat politicians in conjunction with big tech companies and big corporations are seizing control of American culture through all facets of society.

The Department of Justice under President Biden targeted parents, labeled them domestic terrorists, for questioning gender and sexual ideologies in public school curricula. The Left is centralizing governing power, taking away deciding power from the states, inflating the authority of the executive branch, and pitting the branches against each other. They are aiming at confiscating guns and imposing laws on the federal level impeding the acquiring of firearms against the Second Amendment. Big government, big tech, and big business are working concertedly to consolidate influence into one group of people subscribing to one ideology. Big tech is censoring conservatives. Hollywood is mocking them, and big business is running them out of business.

Cruz incites the crowd to break up the Left’s consolidation of influence. He calls for resistance to their mandates, initiatives preventing the furthering of their agenda, and for conservatives simply to use their voice, to speak out for their conservative values. The best response, he proposes, to the hatred of the Left is joy, humor, and laughter.
