America UnCanceled: @brandonstraka wins crucial legal battle
Founder of the Walk Away movement Brandon Straka celebrates his victory in a civil lawsuit with a George Soros-backed law firm that accused Straka and other conservative figures of conspiring to harm minority Capitol police officers in the events of January 6.
The civil case came shortly after the criminal arrest of Straka and the FBI raiding of his home, and it implicated other conservatives including President Donald Trump in false accusations of harming police officers. Now, after two years and $150,000 in costs, all charges against Straka in this civil case have been dropped, but the case still demonstrates a serious abuse of the legal system by the Left to censor, harass, and imprison conservatives that requires immediate fixing.
Straka explains, “Because of who I am, and this is not even my opinion, the DOJ and the FBI were very explicit about this, they said, ‘This guy, Brandon Straka, is the founder of this Walk Away movement. He has over a million people following him. He does these events that people are showing up to. He’s got a lot of influence, and therefore, he needs to be taught a very specific lesson of deterrence about going to the Capitol and encouraging people on January 6.’ So, they charged me with felonies for being on Capitol grounds.”
He hopes his case and the many other cases like his will open the eyes of conservatives to the extent of the corruption in the federal government and move them out of passivity and into action to legally and properly hold the Left accountable and restore integrity to our government.
