America UnCanceled: @jasonrantz joins to discuss his new book "What's Killing America"

Author of “What’s Killing America” Jason Rantz exposes the factors behind the breakdown of American cities on America Uncanceled with Mercedes Schlapp. Rantz sets out in his book to investigate and connect those policies and decisions on the local levels to the rises in crime, the drug epidemic, and increasing homelessness in notable Democrat cities.

“I found a lot of themes that were happening from Democrat city to Democrat city,” Rantz explains. “When you take a deeper dive into specifics in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, D.C., New York you start to realize it’s pretty much the same policies that have been implemented, certainly under the same ideology, but it’s the same policies with the same kinds of talking points and narratives, trying to justify the changes that we’re going through, and of course, the responses, the consequences, to it have been pretty much the same.”

He references weak crime policies like unenforced restorative justice programs and as driving factors in the growing lawlessness of blue cities. He predicts that these issues have worsened to the point of driving voters to the Republican Party, which gives him reason to be optimistic that the 2024 presidential election will sway in Republicans’ favor.
