America UnCanceled: @mschlapp & @mercedesschlapp Discuss President Trump's Historic Win in Iowa
President Trump emerged as the clear winner of the Iowa caucus. Where does that leave the other Republican candidates? Matt and Mercedes Schlapp share their thoughts on this edition of America Uncanceled.
“It’s hard to put in proper terms just how much Donald Trump dominated in Iowa,” Matt Schlapp observes. The former president won fifty percent of the vote in Iowa and ninety-nine out of the one hundred counties with the other fifty percent split between Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, Chris Christie, and others. The caucus prompted Ramaswamy to officially drop out of the race and promise support for President Trump.
Matt Schlapp advises the remaining candidates, namely Haley and DeSantis, to drop out now before they experience embarrassing losses in their home states, “It’s inevitable. They should get out now. We’ll see if their egos allow them to get out. Usually candidates don’t get out until the money runs out.”
Either way, Iowa made it clear that President Trump is the undisputed frontrunner, and the rest of the primaries are expected to only reinforce that.
