America UnCanceled: On Capitol Hill for CPAC's Summit to Combat Human Trafficking
Matt and Mercedes Schlapp come to you from Capitol Hill at CAPC’s International Summit to Combat Human Trafficking on this episode of America Uncanceled.
The Summit brought together important figures in the movement against human trafficking including survivors, Mexican officials, lawyers, and American representatives with the intention of driving change through international cooperation and tough legislation.
Matt Schlapp expressed CPAC’s hope for bipartisan unity on this issue, “We’re hopeful that human trafficking is another topic where Left and Right can come together and we kind of leave the partisan politics for other moments, and in this one, let’s go save the kids.”
The CPAC Center for Combating Human Trafficking is partnering with Kaleido and other organizations and figures to rescue the 85,000 lost children, care for victims, and advocate for preventive laws and policies.
