America UnCanceled: Previewing CPAC Japan and Talking China w/ @gordongchang
Matt and Mercedes Schlapp gear up for CPAC Japan with Gordon Chang on this episode of America Uncanceled.
CPAC Japan, CPAC’s original international conference, brings the international conservative movement, especially the neighboring nations in Asia, together for a unifying and informational gathering. This year, CPAC Japan is tackling COVID-19 and the threat of future pandemics from China as well as the blossoming friendship between Japan and South Korea as they unite against their common enemies in North Korea and China.
The conference bears international significance in foreign policy and national security and as a bonding opportunity between the United States and Japan with the strength of our enemies, especially China, Russia, and Iran, spreading across the globe and materializing in wars.
Chang said of the importance of CPAC Japan, “Really what this is is a continuing conversation on levels between Washington and Tokyo, and so, it’s important that people in Japan, not necessarily in the government, see Americans, ordinary Americans like us, come to their country and support them. That will be a message that will resonate throughout Japan.”
