America UnCanceled: Vivek Ramaswamy
On this episode of America Uncanceled, Matt and Mercedes Schlapp talk with presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswam, about his campaign and his approach to major issues.
Ramaswamy was compelled to run for president in the first place by his deep patriotism and dismay at the deteriorated state of American culture at the hands of woke ideology. He is determined to take eradicate the “secular religions” of woke culture and revive the numerous exceptional qualities of America.
“A big part of why I’m running for president is I think we need to go upstream, fill that vacuum of identity with an actual vision and then a policy agenda to go with it,” he states.
Ramaswamy differentiates himself from other Republican candidates by taking a stronger stance than his fellow candidates on issues like education, business, and immigration reform. While his competitors call for the deregulation of business, Ramaswamy calls for the regulation of woke corporations for the sake of discouraging the discrimination of opinion and putting a stop to the woke agenda that is eliminating conservatives from the workforce. On immigration, Ramaswamy takes a hard line on securing the border. A child of legal immigrants, he supports legal, merit-based immigration, and notably hopes to involve the military in immigration to battle the drug cartels. He also supports working with Mexico and South American countries to end the immigration crisis.
Ramaswamy is committed to a ground up revival of the national identity and offers himself as a candidate with a first-person perspective on both the challenges and positive aspects of the country. More information about Ramaswamy and his policies is available at vivek2024.com and through his books.
