Fifty-third Secretary of the Interior and Chairman of the AFPI Center for American Freedom David Bernhardt, Idaho Governor Brad Little, and Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke sit on a panel moderated by President of the U.S. Oil and Gas Association Tim Stewart at CPAC 2023. President Trump led an American energy renaissance that boosted production and lowered prices all leading to American energy independence. The Trump energy policy demonstrated that the United States is the most reliable and cleanest producer of oil, coal, and natural gas in the world by creating stable and efficient means of production. The Biden administration, unfortunately, totally reversed the energy policy of the Trump administration, and unsurprisingly, this drastic shift has yielded the opposite results. The Biden administration has placed the American energy in a straight jacket, piling on regulation after regulation. Energy-rich and reliant states like Idaho and Montana are now suffering because of the resulting decreased production. In turn, energy prices skyrocketed, Americans lost their jobs in the energy industry, and the country has been forced to rely on oil from our foes in the Middle East, Asia, South and Central America who mine and process fossil fuels in means severely detrimental to the environment.
