Biggs, Schaefer - CPAC TX 2021

Arizona Representative Andy Biggs and Texas State Representative Matt Schaefer talk with Ben Ferguson at CPAC Texas 2021 about the Second Amendment and self-defense rights. Ferguson, personally, saved his own life in a gang ambush using his legally-owned firearm. As such, he strongly supports the ability for all Americans to defend themselves as he did, but many states, such as New York, are putting restrictions on firearm manufacturing and ownership that would eventually making gun ownership legally impossible. A few other states, on the other hand, are unapologetically asserting their citizens’ constitutional right to bear arms and God-given right to defend one’s self. Arizona, for example, is a “constitutional carry” state because, as Biggs states, the people of Arizona recognize the need for individual citizens to respond to violence in a more timely manner than law enforcement often can. Biggs and Schaefer concur that laws are not the problem for discouraging gun violence but the George Soros-paid judges hearing gun violence cases and inadequately prosecuting criminals are the real issue in need of reform.
