Newsmax host Sean Spicer, Natural Resources Attorney and Wyoming U.S. Congressional Candidate Harriet Hageman, and Alaska governor Mike Dunleavy tackle energy policy issues. Dunleavy speaks on the unique perspective Alaska brings to the energy industry. Because Alaska’s resources are combined under the government they are really incentivized to drill and mine their natural resources, but now they are being shutdown by the government. Russia, meanwhile, is actually pulling from oil reserves in the ocean that Alaska could utilizing. Instead, Russia is enriching itself off of the United States’ inaction and damaging the environment with unregulated processes.
Hageman contributes that Wyoming, the country’s largest producer of coal, and clean coal at that, is similarly being crippled by national energy dependency policies. She says like any state, Wyoming is facing major price hikes of any and all goods because of the administration’s energy policies. She assures that taking advantage of the coal reserves in Wyoming is incredibly beneficial because her state can use clean and safe practices to mine and process it. The reserves are so plentiful, too, that there is no legitimate concern of drying up reserves.
Both confidently advance that reopening American energy business benefits Americans, hurts our adversaries, and preserves the environment. They both advocate for reduced federal regulations to allow the individual states to take back control over their own energy industries and allow America to regain energy independence.
