Dean of Liberty Business School and former Virginia Congressman Dave Brat and Tennessee Representative Diana Harshbarger sit on a panel moderated by host of The Jason Rantz Show, Jason Rantz, at CPAC 2023 where they take up the state of education in the United States. Higher education institutions are creating issues for themselves and for Americans by waving standardized test requirements and judging students on their demographics and skin color rather than their merits. These practices are wrought by claims of systemic racism and bigotry that is supposedly still barring certain persons from attending school. Harshbarger and Brat reject this notion, saying that the main obstacles to quality education are not racism and discrimination but cost and indoctrination. Universities are even indoctrinating young Americans with useless degrees such as gender studies that provide zero marketable skills. Brat at Liberty is supplying a practical and Christian alternative that gives students professional training infused with Christian principles. Harshbarger is battling on the Congressional level for the removal of the federal government from education matters that ought to be left to the states. Together, in their respective positions, they are fighting to make American education exceptional.
