Francesco Giubilei exposes the European Union’s changing of the structure of Western society by attacking traditional lifestyle. The EU has rejected Christianity. The forty-ninth proposal of a recent EU gathering omits any mention of the continent’s religious background. The body even prevented a Catholic theologian from speaking on the persecution of Christians. It has changed the meaning of the family and only addressed the issue of the dropping birthrate in one instance while never once using the terms ‘children’ or ‘child’. The EU is also so committed to its fantastical environmentalist agenda that it is promoting an insect diet and discouraging a meat-based diet. Lastly, the EU document fails to mention the duties of citizens, immigrants, and governments but repeatedly discusses rights indicating a society obsessed with entitlement and unconcerned with shouldering responsibilities.
