George Farmer takes a look at the culture war raging in media in his address at CPAC Hungary 2022. Rather than a physical war with tanks and arms, we are engaging in a virtual war with keyboards, screens, and posts. Individuals fire tweets at one another instead of shots. Battles are fought on screens, not on fields. The battle raging on social media is a pivotal one. The winner walks away with the Internet at large, and with the Internet in their arsenal, one side has control of information. Thus, the culture war on social media is also an information war. It is a fight on the side of conservatives for the free flow of ideas, and on the Left’s side, it is a fight for total control of citizens thoughts. Conservatives can win this fight if they embrace the wave of new technology and harness it to their advantage.
