How to talk to your neighbor without starting a backyard brawl - CPAC FL 2022
Engaging in civil dialogue about politics is increasingly difficult in the polarized environment we currently live in, but pollster Jim McLaughlin and conservative activist Scott Presler have strategies for spreading the conservative message. In order to find victory, conservatives need to speak to both their base and swing voters, and they need to do so in a way that respects opposing opinions but still remains loyal to our own conservative principles. Data from polls and social media indicate dissatisfaction from Americans with the Biden administration. Presler and McLaughlin see this as an open door to convincingly communicate conservative ideas. Working class Americans, in particular, are becoming fed up with issues like medical freedom and other violations of personal liberties, energy policy, and national security. These issues are opportunities to win the hearts and minds of voters. Presler suggests using social media, like he does, to reach voters and move conservatives in key states to register to vote.
