It's Not About Us: Elaine Beck and Dr. Ben Carson

Elaine Beck sits down with former United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and founder of American Cornerstone Institute Dr. Ben Carson at CPAC DC 2023 on It’s Not About Us.

Since serving in the Trump administration, Carson has taken his conservative involvement to American Cornerstone Institute with a mission of educating average Americans on civics and history. The organization began this mission with the Little Patriots Program that presents basic lessons on American history and government to children. Now, they are expanding their outreach with the Executive Branch for America. The program is online that breaks down the functions of the executive branch from the budget process to the purpose of each government agency. Executive Branch for America particularly targets college and high school students to lay a solid foundation for young people to properly understand and feel empowered to participate in government.

“The reason we did this program is because you have a lot of those bright people that you just talked about, but they don’t have the background and frequently, they quickly get discouraged and they go away. We want to make sure they have that background to start with so they can hit the ground running,” Carson explains.

The program is free to participants, offers certification, and is taught by various experienced and knowledgeable public officials. It is part of Carson’s larger mission to combat the Left’s agenda to instill hate for God, country, and family in the hearts of every American.
