It's Not About Us: @elaineebeck1 w/ @ChoooCole & @FunkyPsyche
Chloe Cole and Laura Becker share their stories of transitioning and de-transitioning with Elaine Beck on this episode of It’s Not About Us.
Cole and Becker were subjected to gender transitioning processes at young ages causing permanent, irreversible changes to their bodies. Their experiences demonstrate the medical field’s preying on vulnerable young children and young adults, who are often already diagnosed with other conditions like autism and ADHD or are experiencing forms of trauma, and pressuring parents into agreeing to transitioning procedures by designating their children as suicidal.
Becker summarizes the philosophy of the medical field on the transgender issue, “You need cosmetic surgery to become your ‘true self.’”
Their de-transitioning and healing process brought them to the opposite conclusion and to accept and love themselves as they were created by God.
“Our sex is determined at conception. It’s something that stays with us for life. It’s not something that we can change, chemically, not in the way that we dress, in the way we present ourselves. It’s a gift that’s bestowed upon us,” Cole states.
“I’ve still been able to accept myself as a female, and if you accept what reality is, you’re able to make the best of it. There are pros and cons to being a female, and a male, but you have to accept that to be able to have access to the benefits of your natural existence,” Becker says.
Now, they are sharing their stories to help others who have similar experiences and prevent other young children from undergoing the same trauma.
