Elaine Beck interviews Dr. Dennis Asensio on his journey to find freedom in the United States after joining the fight against the dictator in his home country of the Philippines.

“To prove that he was the leader of the Philipines, he called for a snap election, and this is when, basically, the opposition started getting together, and that’s when I started joining the campaign against him, and them I immigrated to the U.S.,” Asensio said of his journey.

His experience in the United States solidified his appreciation and identity as a political conservative, and looking back, he sees God’s providence in his story.
