Liberty and Justice: @mattwhitaker46 Joins the Line Drive Podcast
This episode of Liberty and Justice features Matt Whitaker weighing in on the four indictments of President Donald Trump on the Line Drive podcast with hosts Tim Murtaugh and Hogan Gidley.
Whitaker breaks down the fourth and most recent indictment in particular which, as a state indictment in Georgia, poses a conundrum for a presidential pardon should President Trump win the presidency in 2024. This one, like the other indictments, stand on shaky ground of exaggerated and false charges.
“I’ve said before that the path to justice is well worn. I mean, typically these statutes prohibit certain activities and actions and you prosecute people when they violate the law. You know, I think in these two most recent indictments, and certainly an argument to made for all four, we’re in a brave new world. If you look at Alvin Bragg, the very first indictment up in Manhattan, you have somehow a taking misdemeanors, falsification of business record and shoehorning that into a felony because of some expired statute of limitations has run on the election disclosures. So, I kind of scratch my head on that one as well, but this is why we have we appeals courts and Supreme Court, and I think all of these cases are going to find their way there, ultimately,” Whitaker comments.
While the indictments pose a threat to the integrity of the American justice system, they have the positive effect of boosting President Trump’s 2024 campaign and rallying his supporters.
