Liberty & Justice: @mattwhitaker46 & @kenpaxtontx at the CPAC Investors Summit to Save America
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton addresses his impeachment in the Texas legislature, the mindset in the Republican Party that led to his impeachment, and his plans moving forward to combat the Biden agenda on this episode of Liberty & Justice with Matt Whitaker at the CPAC Investors Summit to Save America.
Paxton describes the impeachment process as “hard” personally and professionally for him. The impeachment came after Paxton spent most of his funding on campaigning, leaving him without the funds to hire lawyers, and gag orders made it impossible for Paxton to respond to media accusations. The swift pace of the process forced Paxton to react quickly but also exposed the unorthodox, and blatantly illegal, methods used to impeach him.
“They did it in three days, publicly. They’d been working on it for months, and they did it without any transparency for a reason. They didn’t want their own members to know because they would have been under pressure from their constituents to actually listen to the truth. And so it all happened very fast. I was out in three days, suspended even though they had never proven aything. There was no testimony. There were no witnesses. There was no sworn testimony. Nothing required by law was done, including taking on issues that were prior of the election, which is not allowed under Texas law,” Paxton explained.
He firmly believes that the impeachment was a result of his willingness to challenge the Biden administration’s agenda and his many victories in doing so. Now that he is back in office, he is hitting the ground running with the same tenacity and with even more determination to make up for the four months he was out of office by prioritizing targeting big pharma, securing the border, and ensuring election integrity.
