Liberty & Justice with Matt Whitaker & West Virginia AG Patrick Morrisey at CPAC DC
West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey joins Matt Whitaker on Liberty & Justice at CPAC DC 2023 to advance the importance of law and order amid assaults on freedom by the Left.
The defund the police movement and the weaponization of the justice system by rogue bureaucrats have inflicted a great deal of damage on the integrity of law and order. The failure of the federal administrations to uphold law and order leaves state officials like Morrisey to fight to protect their people alone.
“The feds have been ignoring all of our requests. So, it comes to the states, my office, to Texas, to Louisiana, all the states to ban together and to make sure we’re enforcing the laws,” Morrisey stated.
Morrisey has been especially productive in this regard for the people of West Virginia. He has successfully challenged the Biden administration’s open border policy and carbon emissions restrictions and is now challenging the SEC’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards.
He explained the dangers behind ESG and why he has made it his next target for reforming the federal government, “Let’s be clear, ESG is the destroyer of capitalism, and it’s goal is to actually limit what the private sector can do because one of the things, I think, that made our country great is that we have a lot of really active, aggressive companies starting as small businesses. They work their way up, and they were trying to make money, good return on investment. Now, when you have all these extraneous metrics, no one seems to care about making money, but that’s because what they really want is to have that authoritarian state to impose their politically correct view.”
Morrisey hopes to spread awareness of the battles he and other states are fighting to keep Americans’ freedoms intact so that others will join and support their state officials in combatting the corruption in the federal government.
