Fox News Contributor Katie Pavlich and Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman sit down together at CPAC Florida 2022 for a conversation about foreign policy in the Middle East.
In his book, Friedman criticizes the foreign policy establishment that repeatedly tried to accomplish peace in the Middle East by demonizing Israel and enabling Palestinian terrorists. He, however, believes that Israel is the solution, not the problem, to Middle East conflicts. Only once we acknowledge our ally in Judeo-Christian values in the region, can we really make progress in establishing peace.
The Abraham Accords signed under President Trump made major headway in uniting countries of similar values and systems in the region. They also spoke a message to the rest of the world that the United States would not support Palestinian terrorists and that there are basic standards that must be met in order to enjoy the benefits of allyship with the United States. President Trump made it clear to terrorist states that we will not allow them to wipe Israel off the map. The Abraham Accords were a show of strength to our adversaries in the Middle East and across the globe.
Friedman emphasizes continued shows of strength because Israel is not only under attack but the United States is under attack with them. He calls for us to be much stronger than we are now considering the foreign foes we face not only from the Middle East but from Asia and Europe as well.
