Mercedes Speaks at Florida Federation of Republican Women

Mercedes Schlapp delivers an uplifting and empowering speech at a Florida Federation of Republican Women gathering. 

Schlapp shares her own family experience with communism. Her father was a political prisoner for six years in Cuba. She attributes her appreciation for liberty to the lessons and stories he told at the dinner table. 

The state of Florida and its governor, Ron DeSantis, are doing great work to preserve freedom. DeSantis is taking action to secure the border and share the burden of illegal immigration with sanctuary and liberal areas. Florida is doing more than any other state to advance election integrity with the Florida Federation of Republican Women contributing to this effort while showing the power and influence of Republican women. Florida and DeSantis are doing even more good work to ensure the respect of parent’s rights and the integrity of public school education.

Schlapp laments the poor treatment of people like DeSantis and President Trump who are being attacked by the Left merely for taking steps to improve the country. 

“In Biden’s America, MAGA Republican: extremist; parent: domestic terrorist; Republican: racist; you approve of America First policies or you voted for Donald Trump: a semi-fascist,” Schlapp describes. In anti-American fashion, the Left is shutting down and name-calling opponents to eradicate them and reduce American politics to a one party system. The DOJ and FBI’s targeting of Donald Trump, Mike Lindell, and low-level staffers in the January 6th show trials is further evidence of the witch-hunt by the Left. 

Schlapp emphasizes that our right to free speech is more important than ever. With so many immigrants coming from communist countries, like Venezuela and Colombia, to the United States, open and productive dialogue about the realities of communism and the value of liberty is entirely possible as well as crucial in these times. 

Democrats have also managed to destabilize communities across the country with the influx of gangs through the border and defund the police policies. Schlapp says, “We need and deserve to make sure that every American feels safe in their neighborhoods and these Democrats are running these cities into the ground.” Schlapp suggests that the protection of the Second Amendment is the most effective solution to defending ourselves and communities without the support of local officials for police departments. The Democrats are on the verge of destabilizing the economy as well with the Inflation Reduction even more so than they already have destabilized it.

Schlapp ends by directing the audience to the upcoming The Culture Killers movie which addresses the major issues facing the country by exposing the degradation and destruction of American culture and history by the woke mob.
