Merry Christmas from CPAC to You!

Matt and Mercedes Schlapp discuss the meaning of Christmas and extend warm wishes for a fruitful and merry Christmas to the CPAC family on this episode of America Uncanceled.

Consumed by the awe-inspiring miracle of God becoming man, we often miss the lessons to be learned from the wholly human members of the Holy Family in the Christmas story, but the roles of Mary and Joseph impart on us valuable examples for practicing faith and courage in extraordinary ways.

“We forget that at times too. It’s not just only about Jesus,” Mercedes Schlapp explains. “It is Mary is saying ‘Yes’ to the angel Gabriel, Joseph standing up strong and saying, ‘I will take care of this holy family and take them to safety’, knowing that their decisions, by choosing God’s will, they’ve changed literally, literally changed the course of history.”

Thus, the Christmas season is a ripe opportunity to follow the Holy Family’s example and in our own ways, practice works of mercy by giving of our time, energy, and resources to extend the love of God to our friends, family, and those less fortunate.
