In the second part of this panel, Sara Carter speaks with Border Patrol Union President Brandon Judd and York County Pennsylvania District Attorney Dave Sunday about the dangerous consequences of an unsecured border. Sunday and Judd bring awareness to the fentanyl epidemic afflicting the United States because of the unregulated southern border. The cartels are taking advantage of the vast, unpatrolled areas of the border to send in mass amounts of fatal fentanyl. The cartels disguise the fentanyl as counterfeit medicine, usually harmless pills like ibuprofen or as colorful candy to target children, and then kill thousands of unsuspecting Americans with lethal amounts of fentanyl. The illegal drug trade has now expanded because of the open border into a worldwide, billion dollar operation. The Chinese are even involved by supplying the cartels with the fentanyl. The drug crisis in conjunction with human trafficking are making border security more than just a political issue, but a humanitarian concern. Sunday and Judd advocate that the crises at the border need to be addressed by simple policy shifts that will not cost the taxpayer a single penny but will make a world of difference to protect Americans and their children from the international criminal organizations seeking to poison and harm them.
