CPAC Florida 2022 welcomes Former Ohio State Treasurer Josh Mandel to the stage for a speech addressing election integrity. Mandel’s background grants him a special appreciation for freedom. His grandfather was a survivor, the only one from his family, of a Nazi concentration camp and was rescued thanks to American liberation forces. His grandmother, an Italian Jew, experienced life-threatening oppression at the same time in Italy but was fortunately spared through the heroic efforts of a network of Christians. Because of his grandparents’ experiences, Mandel has a heightened awareness of the value of liberty and fights to preserve it.
Mandel repaid the favor done to his ancestors by the United States through serving in the Marine Corps, and he continues his defense of freedom in a slightly different way today. As a political leader and candidate, Mandel advocates for election integrity measures. Preserving the integrity of Americans’ right to vote is of utmost importance to him. He is greatly disturbed by the fiasco of the 2020 election, which he claims was stolen from President Trump and supports the auditing of the votes in Ohio. Mandel demands the common sense measures of enforcing voter identification as a prerequisite to voting, eliminating mail-in voting en masse, and prohibiting early voting to prevent more stolen elections in the future.
