The @billwaltonshow “A Victory for Free Speech” with Jenin Younes

On this episode of The Bill Walton Show, Jenin Younes, litigation counsel for the New Civil Liberties Alliance, comments on a recent lawsuit in the state of Missouri that revealed Joe Biden’s campaign and presidential administration illegally colluded with big tech and social media to commit censorship.

“One of the common threads I see through a lot of these government bureaucrats and these agencies who are doing this is that they think that they have a handle on the truth and that Americans are babies and need to be told what the truth is. They can’t be exposed to different points of view and make their own decisions, and that’s exactly what the First Amendment was designed to protect against,” Younes observes.

The lawsuit uncovered incriminating emails showing that the Biden administration engaged in threats against social media companies to censor information and distribute other information about the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of the information promoted by the government, crucially, turned out to be incorrect and misleading. Younes and the lawsuit have found this to be a pattern of behavior for the Biden administration to censor potentially damaging or scandalous information by deceiving companies about the true nature of the information. The lawsuit includes many Biden administration staffers and Dr. Fauci for their participation in coercion and censorship. A victory for Younes and NCLA in the case would be a victory for all Americans’ right to free speech in the current age of social media.
