Jay Richards, Director and Research Fellow at The Heritage Foundation, talks climate change with Bill Walton. Like the transgender movement, the environmental movement manipulates science to advance an ideology.

“In both the gender question and the climate change question, we’re dealing with bad ideology masquerading as good science,” Richards states.

Legitimate questions about the environment, how it works, and how man’s behavior affects it, are being obscured by the emotion of the environmentalist ideology, or what Richards calls “hysteria”, that is driving humans to extreme measures to fix theoretical future models of problems that have not yet been proven to be directly caused by man. This hysteria has the result of shutting down industry and economy, a tragic result that disproportionately affects third world countries.

In conclusion, Richards urges serious, unbiased investigation into the questions that environmental science asks as to the changes of the climate, man’s influence, and whether changing climate is truly harmful.
