The @Billwaltonshow: You Can’t Win the Culture War Without Making Movies w/ Michael &Thomas Pack

Michael and Thomas Pack of Palladium Pictures challenge conservatives to be proactive in the culture war by supporting mainstream and engaging conservative films. While the Packs have largely been involved in documentaries, they see a need for conservative filmmakers to branch out beyond documentaries into compelling fictional storytelling. They identify two main reasons for the lack of conservative presence in mainstream filmmaking. The first is simply a lack of interest by conservative filmmakers to entire the fictional genre and the second is a reluctancy from conservative donors to give money to movie studios over think tanks, political action coalitions, or non-profits.

However, as Michael Pack states, “You can’t fight a culture when only side is fighting.”

He adds, “We can’t blame the Left for fighting for their ideas. We have to fight for our own.”

That realization motivated the Packs to start their incubator through Palladium Pictures to inspire and support young conservative filmmakers to impact culture.
