The Commonwealth Counterpunch Larry O’Connor, Charlie Hurt, Ronna McDaniel, and Ian Prior - CPAC FL 2022
Larry O’Connor moderates a panel at CPAC Florida 2022 with Charlie Hurt, Ronna McDaniel, and Ian Prior. The panel addresses the phenomenal political shift of Virginia from a blue state to a red state. Just a few years ago, Virginians were forced to admit that the state had officially turned securely Democrat, but something change in 2021 when Republican Greg Youngkin won the governorship. Prior attributes the shift to the school lockdowns that revealed the inappropriate material children were learning to the outrage of parents. More people became disenchanted with the Leftist agenda and wanted change. Conservatives began to run for and win school board seats. The Republican National Committee ran a strong ground game for those school board races and all races to ensure Republican victories. In order to implement similar change in other states, McDaniels urges for election integrity measures, enthusiastic volunteers, and voters. She attributes a significant part of Youngkin’s victory to election integrity measures but she also recognizes the invaluable work of grassroots volunteers who foot soldiers for spreading the conservative message. The most important part, of course, is voting. No Republican can win if conservatives do not get out and vote. Every vote matters, and every vote bears even greater importance with liberty on the line.
