Matt Schlapp speaks with Tennessee Senator Bill Hagerty about the First Amendment and cancel culture. The Left has embarked on a militant offensive effort to eradicate conservative thought from the public square. Young conservatives are bearing the brunt of this campaign as the future of the conservative movement.
Hagerty shares that several young members of his staff, who were former White House staff, have been targeted with subpeonas in the January 6th show trials. The trial is attacking vulnerable and innocent conservative staffers with the intention of obtaining false narratives against their superiors while removing the staffers themselves completely from the political scene. These trials are clearly theater as these young, low-level former White House staffers are subjected to false accusations and pressured to erroneously witness against the former president. Other Congressional measures to genuinely investigate the incident and increase Capitol security further prove the fictitious nature of this committee.
The reputations and careers of these young conservative professionals are regardless being tarnished simply by their forced involved in the January 6th Congressional hearings. CPAC has established the First Amendment Fund, and Hagerty has worked with CPAC through this fund, to support the victims of these hearings and all victims of cancel culture, from soldiers refusing compliance to COVID vaccine mandates to teachers taking a stand against gender ideology in the classroom.
