Threats to America: A Debate - CPAC TX 2022
Michael Sharman, Chief Legal Counsel at Share HealthCare, Jon Willis, Founder and CEO of Freespace, and Larry O’Connor, host of the Larry O’Connor Show, sit on a panel at CPAC Texas 2022 assessing the threats to liberty in the United States in the health care and technology sectors.
Sharman shares his expertise on the infringements on personal liberties by Obamacare in the health care industry. His organization, Share HealthCare, was founded to directly overcome the challenges arising out of Obamacare. Share HealthCare supports Christians looking for medical care that aligns with their religious beliefs. It provides an affordable option for health care by sharing the cost of medical expenses while not forcing participants to pay for medicine and procedures, such as contraceptives and abortions, that may violate their beliefs. It circumvents the regulations of Obamacare and allows for freedom in health care.
Willis’ company, Freespace Social, was born out of a similar reaction that inspired Share HealthCare, but to mainstream social media censorship. After the blatant silencing of conservatives by big tech in the 2020 elections, Willis was inspired to provide a social media platform that serves the people, gives them a voice, and facilitates free speech. The infringements on free speech are just as detrimental to our personal liberties as the attacks on our health care by creating a conformity culture and supporting a one-party, dictatorial state.
