Viktor Orbán - CPAC Hungary 2022

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán expresses his gratitude to CPAC for selecting Hungary for a gathering and unveils a twelve point plan to defeat the liberals. The first is to play by our own rules. Orbán is determined not to be cornered into the Left’s rules. That would only ensure defeat. The second point is weaving in conservatism into national policy. Orbán employed this point in securing the borders with cameras, guard towers, and motion sensors. The third step is a strong foreign policy that prioritizes the home country. As in the Russia-Ukraine war, Hungary is happy to help and has accepted refugees but is not willing to pay the price of the war. Fourth, conservatives need a media outlet that will disperse the conservative message. Fifth, one should always expose the real intentions of the enemy. In Hungary, conservatives reveal the reality of Leftist ideas early before the ideas can catch on. A roaring economy is the sixth point. Orbán’s seventh point is to never be mere idle observants. Eighth, he advocates for reading and learning nationwide. Reading facilitates an understanding of the enemy and one’s own beliefs. Ninth, have faith. Without faith, nothing is possible. The tenth point is to collect friends and allies who will surround you when under siege. Eleventh, conservatives ought to build communities because communities are opportunities to evangelize conservatism. Lastly, Orbán urges the building of institutions. Institutions will carry on the conservative message once a government falls out of power. Institutions will do the most important work of spreading conservatism from within and through the culture of a nation.
