Professor of Law and Director of Center for Middle East and International Law at George Mason’s Antonin Scalia School of Law, Eugene Kontorovich, CPAC Senior Fellow for Israel and Jewish Affairs Yitz Tendler, and Josh Hammer of Newsweek sit on a panel at CPAC 2023 for a discussion about anti-semitism in the United States and the Israeli judicial system. Today, anti-semitism is most commonly taking the form of anti-Israel stances. Many representatives in Congress, especially Ilhan Omar, have expressed a bigotry toward Jews informing their hostility toward Israel. Meanwhile, within Israel itself, conservatism is facing its own obstacles from the Israeli deep state. Kontorovich explains that the justice system is packed with committee appointed Leftist judges who block every effort of the conservative elected government. Hammer compels Americans to care about Israeli judicial reform because Israel and the Netanyahu campaign and administration are facing difficulties and fraud that are eerily similar to that faced by the Trump administration and campaign. American politicians on the Left have gotten involved too in opposing Israeli justice reform, giving conservative Americans even more reason to care. Kontorovich encourages Americans to reach out to their elected officials in favor of supporting Israel and its efforts to clean up its judicial system.
