Yitz Tendler, CPAC Senior Fellow for Israel and Jewish Affairs, joins Mercedes Schlapp to discuss the recent election in Israel that brought Benjamin Netanyahu's comeback.
The returning Prime Minister has regained a majority for his party and a stable coalition that has allowed him to find victory this time. Netanyahu’s conservative party has even doubled in size while the far-left party on the opposite side has been so reduced that it will not see representation in the Knesset. The conservative party is attractive to Israelis for its tough stance on terrorism, advocating for the death penalty for convicted terrorists.
In domestic politics, Tendler is optimistic for Lee Zeldin in New York based on the Jewish community’s enthusiasm for his support of school choice, the freedom to practice their faith, and to protect them from the regular attacks they are facing on the streets of their neighborhoods.
In the second part of this episode, Matt and Mercedes Schlapp speak at a Tudor Dixon campaign event. They remark that Michigan is ground zero for protecting school choice and the integrity of public education. Sitting governor and Democratic candidate Gretchen Whitmer imposed radical policies in Michigan schools, showing that she cares more about teachers’ unions' agendas than parental concerns.
“We love America, we love our freedoms, and we’re not going to let the Democrats dictate their radical agenda and try to influence our young minds. It’s going to take each and every one of you. This is it. This is the moment,” Mercedes Schlapp proclaims. Tudor Dixon is the candidate of change in Michigan who promises to fight the Democrats’ radical agenda.
The Schlapps are traveling the country with the same empowering message to conservatives to have the courage to make their voices heard.
