Florida Representative Greg Steube, Harrison Rogers of HJR Global, and Jan Jekielek of The Epoch Times sit on a panel at CPAC Texas 2021 to address the issue of big tech censorship. Conservatives face an uphill climb in dispersing their message with big tech putting up obstacles on social media and search engines to users encountering conservative figures, organizations, and ideas. In the realm of the federal government, Steube has witnessed the puppetry big tech companies are conducting over representatives by supplying massive donations and expecting favorable legislation in return. Steube is combatting big tech influence by refusing to accept donations from Silicon Valley giants and pushing to use anti-trust laws to bust up big tech corporations and sue these conglomerates for violating First Amendment rights. Rodgers knows that in the private sector, conservative businesses are discriminated against on the online world. In fact, they are stolen from in situations where tech companies take their money for advertisements but obstruct the reach of those advertisement. As such, conservative companies lose business and have their right to free speech violated.
