Zoltán Koskovics, Shea Bradley-Farrell, James Carafano, Anne-Elisabeth Moutet discuss foreign policy on a panel at CPAC Hungary 2022. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is the elephant in the room in this discussion, and the panel agrees that the United States approached the situation inadequately. Biden’s reinforcement of a rules-based international system is entirely ineffective. The world no longer follows rules or standards. The world is ruled by force and America must make a show of force in a peace through strength position in order to maintain its sovereignty and international peace. President Trump deterred, during his time in office, Russian and Chinese aggression with the constant threat that the United States would respond swiftly and severely. Trump’s energy policy, which Biden reversed, contributed to dampening Russian and Chinese power. He also effectively stemmed the flow of mass migration, a problem affecting Europe, as well. Overall, the United States and European countries must assume a peace through strength foreign policy attitude to preserve Western Civilization.
